I lead the Biomedical Text Mining Group in Larry Hunter's Center for Computational Pharmacology at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.

I spent the first half of my adult life doing medical/technical work, and the second half doing linguistics and software development. I was originally trained in phonetics, but most of my linguistic work has been in the area of natural language processing.
